From a tiny one bed on the outskirts of the city centre, in an area where nothing happens and the only shop is at the petrol station, to bang bang bang in the middle of town. The new flat is a large one bed above a hairdressers and next to both a building site (eek - but the rent is cheap) and a fairly quiet bar.

I’m pretty excited about the new place, right in the hustle and bustle and two minutes walk away from my favourite book shop, Rare and Racy. http://www.rareandracy.co.uk/

There are a few potential problems though, one being the noise on Friday and Saturday nights - my street is THE street where everyone goes out drinking, gets drunk, pukes on the pavement whilst chomping on a kebab etc..but I stayed there a week or so ago on a saturday night and although it was a little noisy, it wasn’t annoyingly so.

I’m very excited about decorating the new place too. Obviously we can’t paint, but I think there is so much we can do to make the place homely. I’m thinking cool prints off Etsy, all my vintage nicknack clutter and a little music nook in the hallway for my rockstar (ha) boyfriend. Anyway I will post some inspiration pictures later and maybe some photos of the new flat with ideas of what to do with it.

Returning

The blogger in me has been itching and scratching under my skin lately. I used to have (technically, still do) a LiveJournal blog which until a couple of years ago, I updated very regularly. The last two years have been very eventful, and although they’d have made for a good read, they have been terribly draining and trying to keep myself upright has been more important then writing a blog.

My life used to always be filled with writing and I want to get that part of me back and a new blog seemed the perfect way to start. So, unlike my old LiveJournal, there will be no ultra-candid posts about my woes or anything else too self absorbed..but there should be plenty of opinion, pictures, ideas and creativity.

So without further ado, here is my next piece of crap to clutter up the internet.
